it all depends on your definition of signature… writing an op-ed could be considered your signature.
imagine if numerous people signed a check for the same cause. and having worked on the Hill, i know that the reps do pay some attention to the letters they get.
i write letters and court papers (and affirm) all of the time that have an influence (the micro-level). W/out my client’s “signed” affidavit, many of these papers are considered technically invalid.
I would have to go more towards what Eric is saying here.
Although I understand the relevance of Rewrite’s point, I would have to say that in the larger number of instances not pertaining to the law perspective, a signature bears little meaning.
Especially in this country, anything written is all too easily and often ignored for personal agenda.
And a gift with a signature by tiffanys will get you laid. Not that I’ve done that…
Oh! And your spray painted signature on a wall in soho will get you 24 hours time
Forged signatures are cool, but will get you in a boat load of trouble.
A tattooed signature of EPE on your ear will make you erics Biaaaatch for life and you may not want that
a signature by Picasso easily makes an over 200,000 dollar difference
It is the value of the imagery he created that made the signature of importance. (action)
And a gift with a signature by tiffanys will get you laid.
Subjective; might get you laid, likely will just get you a gold digger who will empty your bank account and leave you for someone who has something with the same signature. It is in the giving of the gift that the possibility lies. (action)
Oh! And your spray painted signature on a wall in soho will get you 24 hours time
It is the action, not the signature, that gets you attention from law officials.
Forged signatures are cool, but will get you in a boat load of trouble.
Same as previous.
You are confusing symbology and action, and without action, the symbology is summarily valueless.
Actually, jams:
Value of imagery is subjective. Value of signature is not. That is the biggest silent truth when it comes to art dealing. Like Picasso said once. “this signature just made me 50,000 dollars”
And it’s not because his signature was nice.
The gift of giving. Ahh how romantic james!. But i was not talking about gold digging. I was talking about getting laid. The act of penetration, not a romantic act of making love. who care about the gold digger, the point was getting laid. You are confusing the two. Hard to explain for some, but trust me, there is a differance.
Graffiti: The act of spry painting. the moving about of the arms while spray painting a surface. That is the action. The result, a vandalized public or private space by leaving your signature is what gets your attention to officials. That is the signature not the act of leaving it.
This is what a response looks like in the absence of logic.
No action as a precursory definer for an observer, a signature, any signature, is without any significance.
Picasso was an artist, so his lack of analytical ability is almost forgiveable. Almost. Thankfully, his grandson Theodore, did not suffer from that particular affliction.
I suggest spending some time with David Hume to correct the error of perspective. The human mind induces connectivity predicated upon action, as an observing entity. Without which, nothing can be declared to have value.
We also find in the micro perspective, it is the observer of an action/event that is the cause of behavior, via quantum entanglement.
And i suggest that you practice using your very own thought process rather than relying too much on what you read to form an opinion like do so much.
You can suggest I read all of NY public library via quantum teleportation and it still would not change the fact that rather than insightful your comments are void of meaning.
Never rely on others insights to form yours.
Your attempt at being pragmatic is an attempt. Your posts are a result of my signature. An observer of an action/event that never defines itself is just an observer waiting to make a conclusion. Kind of what you are doing now waiting for my reply. You don’t know what you are going to say until i hit the submit button…..
Clear as purple crayons
And lets not get into Picasso, I have a masters in the subject.
Somehow i missed all of these posts until now. you guys are hilarious.
i hope you didn’t scare/steer eric further away from political posts… b/c the holiday and other posts (let’s see who read more books this year) are boring/depressing.
talk about Pakistan… there is some real shit going on there… lots of issues to discuss.

i actually have the opposite feeling. The video wasn’t that great, but i do think that individuals can make a difference.

ReWrite,
I didn’t mean that people can’t make a difference . . . I meant that one’s signature doesn’t make the difference.

it is the same concept.

so i think one’s signature is important.

SO, ReWrite is correct. A signature is important

Logically, quite simple to understand.

in a more simple less jive term:
Unless you(plural) are a mime,
The “gift of giving” fails without the gift (the signature).
If you can understand this simple idea, then you can apply it to pretty much everything.
And yes I’ll let you use this quote for your future references.

Your masters in Art bears little weight, but obviously, you should have spent more time studying something besides art.
Relying on one’s own authority, beyond making a pompous windbag, makes one constantly in error.
I give credit to superior minds from whom I learn. I’m fully aware, there are many with which I can never compete, so it is better to learn from them.
Knowing one’s limitations, is always the first step.
But the conversation is now banal. Arguing on the internet is exactly like running in the Special Olympics; even if you win, you’re still a retard.

my friend, the definition of pompuos widnbag came about from the first post you ever subitted online.
“I give credit to superior minds from whom I learn. I’m fully aware, there are many with which I can never compete”
Are you for real? where do you come from?
