Introducing Karissa

Karissa is my new friend and co-worker. She embodies that line from the Billy Joel song, “Always a Woman to Me”, “she is frequently kind and she’s suddenly cruel”. Except that with Karissa it is the other way around, “she is frequently cruel and suddenly kind.”

Mi querida amiga e ídolo del balencesto femenino, Rosa Pérez, ha realizado un partido impresionante al marcar 5/6 triples con un total de 21 puntos para liderar al USP-CEU Adecco Estudiantes en su victoria contral el CajaCanarias (85-73).

I am surrounded by words

I am surrounded by words. Words dropping one by one from clouds that have slipped through the summer sky, droplets resting on leaves to Beethoven’s Piano Concerto Number Five. Subtle at first then into a downpour until I am immersed.  Thunderous words. Words cover my body, they soak into the crevices, sketching my silhouette.
